Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations Scholarship / Bursary PDF Print E-mail

The Alliance of Jamaican Alumni Associations is offering several services of note to graduating students of Jamaican descent, including a bursary program for students moving on to post-secondary education in the upcoming year, and monetary awards through their Essay Writing Competition (submissions are due by June 7, 2013).  All students of Jamaican descent are also invited to attend the AJAA's Graduates' Awards Ceremony and Reception on June 23, 2013 at 2:00 pm.

McDonald's National Hiring Day PDF Print E-mail

Thursday April 11th McDonald's Canada is hiring 6,000 people during their National Hiring Day at all locations.

Young people can walk into any McDonald's location throughout the day with a resume and many will be interviewed on the spot.  Online applications for those who cannot physically get to a McDonalds are available tomorrow at worksforme.ca

Scholarship Opportunity PDF Print E-mail

The National Association for College Admission Counselling (NACAC) has a scholarship application package available to Grade 11 and 12 students who are planning to attend a college or university in the future.  There is an essay that has to be submitted along with the application package and this is due by Friday May 24, 2013.   Application packages can by picked up at Student Services.

 
Activities Happening at THE HUB PDF Print E-mail

The Hub - Mid Scarborough has launched 2 new activities: LYFT (Lean Youth Fitness Training) and CHEF (Cooking for Healthy Eating and Fitness).  The LYFT program takes place every Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM while the CHEF program takes place on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:30 PM.  These programs are free to join and are located at 2660 Eglinton Avenue East. (The Hub)
