Job Opportunities PDF Print E-mail

Employment Ontario and Springboard Employment Services are hosting a March Break Job Fair on Wednesday March 13th at the Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre from 12-5pm. Springboard Employment Services will also be hosing resume and interview skills workshops and summer job registration sessions on March 4th, 6th and 8th at their Sheppard Office.  Again if interested please use the contact info above.

Finally, the TDSB is now accepting applications until Friday March 8th, 2013 for their 2013 Focus on Youth Student Employment Program in support of community summer programs.  To apply you must be 16 years old as of June 28th, 2013 and registered in a TDSB school or educational program.  Exact details and the application can be found at:

US College Expo - April 20, 2013 PDF Print E-mail

If you are interested in attending an American College or University then you do not want to miss the annual US College Expo.  The Expo is happening on Saturday April 20, 2013 at Roy Thomson Hall.  This is a great opportunity to meet with Admissions Officers and Athletic Directors from key universities and colleges.  Pre-registration is required.  Please visit www.uscollegeexpo.com to register.

Volunteer and Job Opportunities PDF Print E-mail

 A number of volunteer and job opportunities are available for interested students:

Toronto Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers and has part-time employment opportunities.  If interested there will be an info meeting on Friday January 25th from 4:00-5:30pm at the McGregor Park Community Centre.  Also Canada's Wonderland is now hiring for their 33rd season of fun.  Interested applicants must be 15 years of age minimum and need to go to www.canadaswonderland.com to fill out an application as soon as possible. Providence Healthcare is also looking for volunteers to assist in many different areas from visiting the elderly to meal assistance, recreational and music activities, and they also have many coop opportunities.  Finally, if you would like to study, work, volunteer or just travel abroad, The Study and Go Abroad Fair will be holding an info session at the Metro Convention Centre on March 3rd, 2013 with pre-registration being a must.

Two more scholarships are available to graduating students: The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers and the Youth in Motion Top 20 Under 20 National Awards.  The deadlines for both scholarships are approaching quickly.  For information on both scholarships please see Mr. Del Rosso in Student Services.

TDSB Semester Two Night School PDF Print E-mail

Applications for semester two night school are now available in student services.  To take a TDSB night school course, you must be 16 years of age or older, have the prerequisite for the course you are taking if one is needed, and cannot have it timetabled into your schedule due to a conflict or the fact that it isn't offered at your home school.  The deadline for all completed applications is Friday, January 18, 2012.
