Herbert H. Carnegie Scholarship and Citizenship Award PDF Print E-mail

The Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation Scholarship and Citizenship Award  is in its 24th year and has awarded over $500 000 in scholarships to young people throughout Canada.  This scholarship targets students who already demonstrate exemplary citiizenship qualities through extensive volunteerism, community service and humanitarian causes in their school and community.  Students are eligible to receive a $1000 scholarchip and can pick up an application package by going to www.futureaces.org.  The package includes a Questionnaire, Application Form and a Writing Assistant/FAQ.  Students should fill out the application form from the word document on-line.

 
Community Service Opportunity PDF Print E-mail

Attention students, the TTC and Future Aces have partnered together to provide a fun community service opportunity for students, and one that you can do with friends, where you would volunteer for one Sunday a month from 1:30pm to 4:30pm during February to November of 2013 at various TTC stations across the city catching people doing acts of kindness.  If this sounds like something that you would be interested in please go to www.futureaces.org or (905)947-9131, ext. 0 for more info and to sign up.

 
Toronto Real Estate Board Scholarship PDF Print E-mail

The Toronto Real Estate Board Past President's Scholarship is awarded to 4 people annually.  Students are eligible to receive either $5000 or $2500.  Applications are available in Student Services.  Applications and other materials are due on March 15, 2013.  You can also vist the website for more information: http://www.torontorealestateboard.com/sidebar/did_you_know/scholarship.htm.

 
Vari Scholarship/Bursary for Victoria College (U of T) PDF Print E-mail

The 2013-2014 Vari Scholarship/Bursary application is now open.  This special scholarship/bursary, valued up to $50,000 over a five year period of study, is awarded annually to students who embody both academic excellence and a proven desire to pursue a future career in teaching. 

The competition is open to all qualified students who have a serious interest in pursuing a career in teaching at the primary/junior or secondary level.  The successful candidate(s) must register at Victoria College in the University of Toronto to receive the award. Deadline for applications is February 1, 2013

Volunteer Opportunity PDF Print E-mail

Attention students,

You are invited to take part in the Cyber-Seniors Corner Campaign - an initiative that partners teenagers with senior citizens to create fun and unique Youtube videos on a new Youtube channel called "Cyber-Seniors Corner".  In return you will be able to create your own video and have it appear in a feature length documentary, win prizes and earn community service hours.
